I bought this bike back in 2010 not running. I was living in Chicago and drove 8 hours to Michigan to purchase it. Since then I’ve moved to Las Vegas and paid to have the bike shipped, and have stored in a heated garage since. October 2022 I went to my local Honda dealer and got into a conversation with the manager. He introduced me to a top engine builder in the country that’s only 20 minutes away from my home. After 12 years I brought the bike to the shop and had them do whatever it took to get it back up and running to 100%. $1800 later completely rebuilt motor. Top end kit, bored, new pistons, rebuilt crank.Bike runs amazing. Honestly that’s why I’m selling. I’m 45, haven’t rode in over 15 years, and it’s a bit much for me. No issues at all. Thanks to YouTube, starting the bike is easy. Lean the bike over till fuel comes out the over flow, click into 2nd gear, rock the bike back and forth to prime the cylinder, find top dead center, 1 good kick and off you go. Once warm, just 1 good kick and starts every time. I changed the bars to Pro Taper SX bars, with Pro Taper clamp on grips. New Desert IT tires. Bikes a blast. Title in hand.Receipt for engine rebuild.Honda manual still in plastic.I’ve rode the bike maybe 5 miles since rebuild.2nd Update, I’ve rode the bike maybe 10 miles since I originally listed. Bike is fun to ride.3rd Update. I just ordered ProTaper Windham bars and installed them. Way better feel to me.I also just ordered Brand New Flo Motorsports Lowering Pegs for $200. They will improve the rider triangle for my size. I am 6'2". I will be honest.... the more I ride the bike... the less I care to sell it. It's super fast, super fun... and one of the biggest things I keep hearing is how easy it is to work on vs 4 strokes that need a valve job and way more labor costs. I always think of this bike as completely stock, but it did have a FMF Fatty Pipe, and Pro Circuit Exhaust with spark arrestor. Besides that the bike was 100% stock. I changed the bars, and now the pegs but besides that it's stock.4th update. Installed the Flo Motorsports pegs, and wow what a difference. Honestly the only thing left to do… is a custom seat, or the electric start. I’m tempted to order the electric start… but if I buy that… I will probably keep. I’m not sure I will renew this ad. If I still have her in 30 days…. She mite be staying. Not a sales pitch, it’s a rare bike… runs amazing. Just took it for a ride with the new pegs and couldn’t keep the front end down, pulled back up to my house with a huge smile.
