1999 Harley-Davidson MT500 Military. If you are looking at the bike, you are probably familiar with these rare MT500's. Harley only made about 278 of them in 1999 and about 200 in 2000. Originally, Harley tried to secure a contract with the US Military to buy these bikes, however, the military passed on the deal because they insisted all of their vehicles run on diesel fuel. This one is even more rare as it is BRAND NEW!! Never sold. Never titled. It was never sold and remained on the dealer's floor until he sold the dealership in 2007 at which time he kept the bike for his personal collection. He only started the bike and rode it home which was 8 miles. From the factory the bikes came with 2 miles on the odometer. The bike has been in a heated, climate controlled toy room and of course the small amount of fuel was drained and the tank and carb are pristine!!In addition, I have the actual DEALER MSO, CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN,ORIGINAL DEALER INVOICE FROM HARLEY, THE ORIGINAL DEALER SET UP SHEET AND THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUALS WHICH ARE STILL SEALED IN THEIR ORIGINAL PLASTIC.Amazingly, the original tool kit remains intact inside the tool kit box and it has never been removed from the tool box!!!! I did not want to disturb it from its' original spot.This is a one -of-a kind bike and a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a brand new MT500. If you are a serious collector, or, if you are a Harley Dealer, you might want to consider purchasing this bike for your collection.There is not a scratch anywhere. The bike is MINT.
