1985 Yamaha Maxim x not to be confused with the Maxim XJ700 although they look very simler they are not I have owned this bike for several years it is in excellent condition and has always been garage kept. I have two other bikes and no longer get a chance to use this one. For those of you who are not familiar with the Maxim X it was produced for two years 1985-86 nickname the baby V max it used the Yamaha Genus 5 valve liquid cooled engine this was cutting edge technology for its time it was very quick and is still able to out perform many bikes in its class and larger. There is a large following for these bikes on the internet they are quit rare if you Google Maxim X you will find numerous sites dedicated to this bike. It is a great all around bike easy to handle around town yet comfortable enough to take on trips I used to regularly ride 200 to 300 miles on a Saturday through the mountains. The bike is ready to go I have a new battery that will go with the bike I can install it if you like. Please feel free to contact me for any questions and details.
