$2,750 1973 Honda cb750 cafe racer

Price:
$2,750
Summary:
Used 1973 20,000 miles
Location:
Los Angeles, CA
Description:

This is a 1973 Honda cb750 that has been completely taken apart and rebuilt as a cafe racer. The matching numbers engine has a little under 20,000 miles on it, less than 500 after rebuilding the head. I put in new clutch plates, and rebuilt the head using new valves and springs. New plugs and wires, valves have been adjusted, driven and re-adjusted for fine tuning. New filter and oil. The engine casings have been polished, new stainless allen bolts, Dyna electronic ignition and coils, and new gaskets when put back together. The stock carburetors have been rebuilt with new kits. The main jets have been replaced with 120s to compensate the air pods and Kerker exhaust. Carbs are clean, synced and polished for a fast and clean start every time. The gas tank was painted by one of the finest painters here in Los Angeles, many coats of clear. No bondo, no orange peel. Clean inside and out. A beautiful tank with new Honda pet cock and clear fuel lines and new filters. The seat was hand built. Polished aluminum cowl that hides the brand new Yuasa dry cell battery, rectifier, and starter solenoid. The seat is hinged like a trunk for easy access to electronics. The front part of the seat is hinged as well for easy access to oil reservoir, wiring and fuse. The steel, oil reservoir was hand-built with stainless steel hoses. It tucks under the seat pan nicely, but provides plenty of oil for cooling - a nice complement to the bike's design. The wheels were taken apart and rebuilt using new spokes and powder coated rims. The polished hub in the rear has new brake shoes. I inspected the bearings, re-packed them with grease after cleaning everything. New raised letter tires and tubes. Front brake consists of rebuilt caliper and master cylinder. New brake line, brake pads new fluid. New X-ring heavy duty chain, and new oem sprockets. New brass bushings installed into the powder coated swing arm. New Progressive rear shocks. Custom, hand built aluminum rear sets and linkage that work perfectly, shifting gears, and rear brake. Comfortable. Custom wiring using the original color-coded Honda Wires. I used the original wires after carefully inspecting every inch of them to make sure nothing is broken or cut, replacing only what was needed. The headlight is from a1968 Harley Sportster - it is an Italian-designed light with polished aluminum visor and light switch and an amber, jewel indicator light. With a clear spotlight sealed beam lens. The tail light is a sleek, polished brass piece mounted to the frame, with easy access to open if the bulb ever burns out. Polished aluminum fork stabilizer mounted to increase handling.
