I fell for all the ads that you need to get a smaller bike and work up to the larger cc bikes and I think it was a waste of time!! ..... I started back a few years in Nebraska buying a 250cc and it was not good because every time the wind picked up, it was very hard to hold onto the bike because it was too light a bike..... Then I moved up to a 500cc bike and it was much better but just didn't have the power when needed or wanted.....Then I moved up to a 700cc bike and I liked it a lot but just wanted more within months..... Then I went over board and bought a Goldwing and it was just a monster to move around but I did have fun with it.... NOW I have a: 2000 Shadow Sabre VT100C2 and it is in almost mint condition (with just over 17K miles on it) and handles so well at low or speeds and turning is awesome..... But when you want to pick up and move this bike has all the power I need..... As from the pictures you will see it is also an awesome looking bike.... Chromed out and just maintence is so easy.... (no shaking your bike to check the oil level) It has a rael dip stick and normal oil filter!!... The Shadow has a shorter seat around 27" high and holds 4 gallons of gas....
