As perhaps the top-tier Big Dog motorcycle, the 2005 Bulldog had a manufacturer?s suggested retailprice of $32,900.The 2005 Big Dog Bulldog is powered by a four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine from aftermarket parts manufacturer S&S Cycle.At a displacement of 1,916 cubic centimeters, the Bulldog engine is incredibly huge ? and powerful. It has eight intakevalves (with four on each of its two cylinders), a bore and stroke of 4.13 x 4.38 inches (104.8 x 111.1 millimeters), and acompression ratio of 9.6 to 1.Fueling the engine on the 2005 Big Dog Bulldog is an S&S Super G carburetor. A six-speed manual transmission is paired withthe engine, which can be ignited with an electric starter. Each 2005 Bulldog gets a fuel tank with a peak capacity of 3.8gallons (14.4 liters), with a 0.4-gallon (1.5-liter) reserve.For its stopping power, the 2005 Big Dog Bulldog relies on all-wheel disc brakes, which are superior to front-disc-brake,rear-disc-brake, or all-wheel drum layouts. The chopper has a front 1.6-inch (41-mm) telescopic fork and rear rigidsuspension to ensure a smooth and controlled ride. Nineteen colorschemes are available for the 2005 Bulldog, including Midnight Misty Blue, Candy Grape, Bahama Blue, Brite White, BlackSapphire, and Chrome Yellow.Standard digital instrumentation on the 2005 Big Dog Bulldog consists of a speedometer, tachometer, trip odometer, and tripcomputer. A halogen headlight and a pair of side mirrors are included for increasing visual perception when on the road.Each 2005 Big Dog Bulldog is 107 inches (2,718.8 mm) long and has a wheelbase of 82 inches (2,082.8 mm). The groundclearance and seat height of the chopper are measured at 4 inches (101.6 mm) and 24.5 inches (622.3 mm), respectively. Witha dry weight of 654 lbs.
