It's a rather conservative design, with 2 valves per cylinder, and pushrods opening the overhead valves. On this version, the pistons, rockers and pushrods have been lightened to improve "revability." There's also twin-spark ignition, which employs two stimulate plugs per cylinder to much better light the fires. Stirred to life by a starter motor larger than the one in my automobile, and powered by a substantial 18 amp-hour battery, the huge Guzzi cranks over well. The Breva spins up 71.7 rear-wheel horse power at 7,400 rpm and 56.3 lb-ft of torque came to a head at 5,500 revs. Output is fairly steady from about 2,700 through 7,000 rpm, where it begins to reduce. If wanted, Redline arrives at 8,000 rpm and there's an adjustable rev-warning sign included into the tachometer that can be pre-programmed to a lower speed. The Breva feels nimble and light as soon as you're moving. Thanks to the torquey nature of the V-twin, the bike feels like it has more power than the dynamometer shows. The engine's broad, relatively flat torque curve delivers a pleasing responsiveness, with lots of acceleration and passing power on tap between about four grand and redline. With a leading speed near 125 miles per hour, there's adequate kick to keep all but the inveterate speed demons among us delighted. Throttle response is quick, but not abrupt coming off idle.Guzzi uses a twin-plate dry clutch to feed power from the engine to a six-speed gearbox. Its hydraulic actuation requires only moderate effort, and connection is strong, while an adjustable lever tailors the grab different size hands. With a much shorter range of engagement than a lot of wet clutches, it takes some getting accustomed to. There's likewise a fair amount of clutch rattle when the lever is drawn in while the engine is idling-as expected with Italian dry clutches. Hey, it's that character everything.Powerful Brembo brakes do an excellent task stopping. Moving is solid and effective with constant equipment changes and no missed shifts.(Expert Review from Rider Magazine). Please require more details or come in to inspect it out ...THANKS FOR LOOKING!2006 Moto Guzzi Breva 1100 - Free Helmet with purchase.
