Limited edition Bimota Delirio model with Ducati 1100s air dual-spark air-cooled V-Twin, 90 horsepower and 70 pound-feet of torque This incredibly-styled limited edition motorcycle was manufactured to commemorate the Italians winning the 2007 World Cup. The 23 that were handmade were distributed to the Italian Soccer Team Members. This particular bike is #8 of the only 23 manufactured making this model one of the rarest that this small Italian company ever produced. What an opportunity for any collector to own not only a stellar looking bike, but an extremely rare model. This bike has been housed indoors, in a climate controlled private home, maintained in perfect condition. It has only 1200 miles on it. MotorBike by Visor Down reviewed the Bimota DB6 Delirio Azzurro as “”Expensive, exclusive and a (steadily) moving work of art. Complete with a Stunning chassis and beautiful handling in a real head turner. The DB6 is one of the better model names in Bimota history, part of Bimota’s rebirth once Roberto Comini acquired the firm in 2003.”” MSRP on the base DB6 model was $30k, however, the limited edition would have gone for much more.The DB6 has been stripped of anything unnecessary and features highly technical chassis innovations. The front wheel features a 12.5 inch wavy disc, a Marzocchi Corsa fork and 4-pot radial Brembo calipers. The trellis frame and swing arm are linked by aluminum plates. Quick steering, instant punch from the 992 cc air-cooled V-twin Ducati 1000DS engine make the front wheel lift instantly. But the 375 lb bike has no problem stopping with such powerful brakes. The Delirio delivers outstanding performance, engine and framework, complimented by an aggressive yet comfortable riding position.This is a visually stunning bike. The quality and attention to detail is incredibly impressive. The swingarm is a work of art with a tubular trellis design meeting machined billet aluminum: trellis pillion peg hangers, cut-outs in the billet rear frame mount and two machined oil line holders. Chassis components are of the utmost quality. This bike is perfect for a track day. The braking is first rate with twin wavy brake discs and Brembo calipers. It is, however, a good road bike as well as it is just an all-around fun bike to ride. It has get up and go, you can lift the front wheel at any time without barely trying and it handles like a champ.Aesthetically, this bike is just gorgeous. It’s a work of art.
