Description:
001 of 029 USA Bimota 2008 Tesi 3D LIMITED. The LTD is the carbon fiber model as opposed to the red / white painted version. I bought this from an insurance sale. It was set down ( low speed ) on the LH side. The seat body support part got scraped on the corner, the tank ( plastic ) got the LH edge scraped, and the headlight fairing got scraped. All these have been professionally carbon fiber repaired and painted black. The headlight "cage" was bent a bit so I replaced it. The turn signal switch was broken and replaced. The foot pegs were missing when I bought it so they are aftermarket. The windshield was replaced with a new Bimota part. The front fender was ruined and replaced with a custom black matching fender. Everything else was undamaged. ( wait, I replaced the clip on handlebars also )So, it IS the limited edition carbon fiber model, serial # 000001 , but will now have a black body panel ( instead of carbon fiber ) on the seat piece and the headlight fairing. The tanks were already black so there is no change there. There is still quite a bit of carbon fiber pieces, the rear fender, kickstand guard, engine covers, lower front fairings, front swingarm guards, etc. Honestly, I think it looks better black w/ lots of carbon goodies than it did when it was all carbon..it looked like a "body kit" you might buy for racing..now it looks fantastic but stock, there was just too much carbon for my taste..it does have the #001 Bimota Concept / America badge on the RH frame.
