An apparent 1947 Airstream. Made in Novemberof 1947 and including a clear title. Brought to me by the 2nd Family to have ever had it, to be totally dissassembled and fastidiously recovered in 2009 & & 2010. Now it has come back to be gone with and offered to it's 3rd fortunate owner.My name is Jimmy Cates and I possess and operate Built from Skratch. I concentrate on bringing things from the past back to life. I have restored lots of gorgeous vintage trailers, but none as unusual as this. This 1947 Airstream Liner came to me with one directive. Make it usable and safe. This deserves to be in a museum, however was abused and rebuilded by hand to be a Campground Rockstar. This liner was completed in 2010 and has given that seen approx. 20000 miles. This trailer has literally been from one side of the continent to the other.From Olympic National Park in WA to East Port MA, This was constructed to last and utilize, all the while paying homage to the past. These trailers are collectable for a reason and this aluminum charm is as uncommon as they come.
