About The Bike And The Build In 2015 I started looking for the perfect HD Road Glide that I specifically wanted in Mirage Orange color which was only a 3 year color option (07,08,09) and shortly into my search I found this immaculate well maintained 2009 with 20k miles from a elder gentleman that took very meticulous care of the bike. Within a month or so I dropped it off at one of my buddies shops, that also happens to be one of the best bike builders in my area, to do a full customization of the bike and in about 3 months after trying out 2 different sets of seats, 3 different handle bar sizes and styles and 2 paint jobs the bike was finally ready to take her home. As this was my first Harley I mainly was going for looks as I built this bike for me and my daughter (she was 5 years old at the time) to enjoy so I didn't want to get too crazy with upgrading the engine and performance and end up getting comfortable and acting stupid on the thing. So performance wise I just did a nice intake and dual exhaust system. Also building this bike I wanted it to be sufficient and be able to do all the things these bikes were meant to do while at the same time looking good doing it. So I opted for the 23" front wheel for better ride and also incase of a flat tire in the middle of a road trip it's easier to track down a 23" tire compared to a 26" tire. Then the air ride I went with is a "bleed and feed" system which not only allows you to raise and lower the bike to your perfect height but also allows you to "feed" rebound into the system so the bike isn't bouncy and gives the perfect ride. Along with the air ride I chose the Pickard triple trees with lowering kit as they are well known to be able to ride straight down the highway at 80mph with no hands and zero wobble. So this baby rides smooth making all distance road trips comfortable and safe. I didn't go too crazy with the stereo system because I wanted to pertain as much cargo capacity as possible as well for long distance road trips. So I just went with the best of the best speakers in the fairing and lids so so you can pack as much belongings as possible in the deep bags. Another focus I had while building the bike was knowing I was going to be riding with my 5 year old daughter I wanted to be certain she was as safe as possible while riding.. so I wanted to do a backrest with armrests to keep her snug in her seat just incase she fell asleep or was bumped out of her seat she wouldn't be able to fall off before I would notice. So in order to do that style backrest I had to go with a tour pack but I wanted something sleek that still looked good with the rest of the bike. So I went with the rare HD Razor Tour Pac (now discontinued) and it not only looks great on the bike but that thing actually holds ALOT of stuff including my half shell helmet! So my buddy was able to customize the backrest with armrests on to the razor pack and it turned out great! And I know it looks kinda tight back there for passengers but believe it or not there's actually alot of room. I ride with my wife all the time and she has a big ol butt haha. Anyways so ya as you can see the bike turned out great and It's been 8 years now and still in great shape as I only put 9k miles on it since all the work was done and have kept up on the bike and cared for it very well. You have to understand that all the floor boards and heel toe shifter, pegs etc etc are all aluminum which is soft so underneath its a little rough from rocks and stuff but it's all underneath and hardly noticeable. Other than that all the chrome and paint is in great condition and the bike runs smooth as it should. The 16" bars are all around perfect height for all riders. The wheels cost over $4k and took 3 months to make and are still in perfect condition. Whoever ends up with this bike is going to be very happy! I CAN HELP ASSIST WITH SHIPPING IF NEEDED. IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS PLEASE DONT HESITATE TO MESSAGE ME AND I WILL GET BACK TO YOU ASAP. HAPPY BIDDING!!!
