Description:
Custom built and completed in 2010, this vehicle was driven regularly until 2019. It has always been kept in a garage. The drive train is a complete 2000 Kawasaki ZRX1100, attached to a dragster type frame. The frame is tig welded 1.5" Chromoly steel tubing. The steering is Indy race car style through " Strange Engineering" rack and pinion and is reverse Akermann geometry. The body was built around an exact copy of an F16 fighter canopy using Rutan " sandwich composite technology" out of fiberglass and carbon fiber. The front rims are 16" alloy with Cooper Zeon ZPT 205/50/R16 tires. The rear motorcycle wheel is original but the tire has been replaced with a car tire to give more traction. The current tire is a Yokohama 195/45/R17 and was installed about 3 years ago by NTB. The front tires are about 10 years old but get very little wear. They were only replaced because a higher profile tire was wanted to get additional clearance. The muffler has been upgraded but the original will be included. Both front and rear body panels and canopy are removable and it is legal to drive without them as running lights are not only attached to the body but also duplicated on the frame. Being a motorcycle, it has no reverse gear. It has become difficult to start due to lack of regular use but runs good. A fun vehicle to drive, it gets a lot of attention when it is out on the road or parked in a parking lot! The ZRX1100 that was used was a complete, running motorcycle, not damaged and not salvaged. All original body parts removed for conversion are included as it is possible to rebuild the motorcycle to sell. My intention was to upgrade the motorcycle to a ZX14 when I retired but long term back issues are preventing this. The service manual, wiring diagrams and a " build book" are also included as well as several trophies. If you search for Texas Raptor reverse trike, it should be the first to populate. Although it.
