More reliable than a BMW 1250GS at half the price (base model at $25,000).This particular year and model is highly collectible since the paint style (see details in the pictures) of the 30th year Anniversary commemorative of the four-time wins of the Paris-Dakkar Rally (1986-1989).This is the top version Adventure Sports model, which comes with a much larger tank (4.7 gallons), 1.5L storage pocket, engine/fairing guard bars and skid plates. It makes easy +250 miles on a tank. Bike comes heated grips, crash bars, ACC socket, torque control. It comes factory with ABS brakes. ABS can be disabled for the ultimate off-road experience.It is a powerful bike (+95 HP) for its weight (530lb) but the computer-controlled throttle modes are very effective in delivering power gradually and smoothly.This bike is in pristine, immaculate state. Unblemished condition, religiously cared for, never dropped and only 8,700 miles. All the paint is PERFECT AS NEW, as well as the commemorative seals and signs. SERVICE All services religiously done through the original dealer - Nielsen's at Villa Park - all records in hand. All factory recalls have been done (fuel filter and center stand clip) on the original dealer .Only used premium gas. Bought and serviced (600,4000,8000mi) with the same dealer. Brake pads are new. The chain has been cleaned every 500 miles and the bike is winterized with Stabil every year.ACCESSORIES It was adapted with a handy battery hookup ($50 value installed) so you will not need to be removing the battery or turning on the bike during winter.
