Over the years a lot of bikes have come in that were kept in attractive condition, the obvious pride of ownership showing with gleaming paint, new tires and not a spec of dirt showing. Then there was this 2001 R1150GS we have in. It is not just clean, it shows no evidence of having been ridden on the street much less off road. We had to wipe the dust off the top surfaces of the bike, but that is all we have done to clean it up. The bike shows 70,000 mis, but I have receipts from Hansens BMW for service work done in the past and a complete Rear Final Drive rebuilt within 100 mis. The bike is a show piece of after market accessories, from the Ohlin Rear Shock, Custom Front and Rear Seats, Plexiglas Head Light Protector Shields, Custom Engine Skid Plate, After Market Exhaust, Accessory Strobe Rear Brake Light, Touratech Hard Bags and almost brand new Continental Road Attack Radial Tires. It is obvious that the bike was loved and taken care by a serious rider and it was probably difficult to let it go for a new GS (but they are an amazing bike).
