This 2012 G650GS has less miles, at 661, then the demonstrator at Hansens BMW where it was sold a couple of months ago. The bike is for all intents and purposes as new but now a little better as the factory Metzelers were taken off and a new set of Heidenau tires installed when the bike was delivered. The warranty on the bike is 36,000 mis or until April of 2015. BMW has a way of making the sticker price ($7850) look real low but by the time the standard Factory accessories that come with each and every bike sold are added in, the Accessory Socket ($50), Heated handlebar grips ($250), destination charge of $495 and then $250 DMV, the bike cost $8900 out the door. The thing that BMW did not charge extra for was the ANTILOCKING BRAKES Brakes. The customer paid the bonus on top of that to have the Heidenau tires installed because they are the best handling and longest wearing dual sport tire being sold today. Money well spent! A change of heart took over almost immediately about riding off road and the bike was parked with barely any miles on it. What is interesting from my short ride around the block is how low the seat is for a Dual Purpose motorcycle. It is incredibly low. I checked with Hansens and it is the standard seat, so if you want an even lower seat, you can get that also but I think most folks are going to be surprised as the leg room it offers.
