Riders lay at a near-horizontal position astride the padded leather seat, with feet on foot pegs that control its electric transmission and hands on the handlebars for throttle and braking. The hub- less wheels are former truck tires built up then custom-shaped to fit onto one of two counter-rotating rims spinning within each other, providing the broad-tired authenticity of the computer cycles from the movie. A chain driven friction drum manages acceleration and breaking from the handlebars. It has spring loaded front and rigid rear suspension. Measurements, 9 foot long total, 37 inch tall without back piece. With back piece bike stands at 47 inch tall, 46 inch widest point at handle bars, 24 inch widest point of body at wheel covers, tires are 32 inches tall, 19 inch diameter inside opening.
