I am wanting to trade ONLY. I have put a lot of work into this bike so let me start from the beginning. In 2009 I had a friend that owed me a favor. He bought this motorcycle as a payment from an insurance auction in Jackson, Ms. In 2010 the state changed the laws on how you retitle a salvaged title. And the journey began. I did not do my homework before agreeing to the deal and I just now found the right person in Montgomery that knew what they were talking about (imagine that) So the wife and I had a talk..... I could trade the bike now with no title and get a pretty decent boat or do all the work and get an even nicer boat. I have a 14ft skiff now, but I need something to take the whole Damn fam on..... 7 of us to be exact. So here are the details.... Up for trade offers as the bike is now (salvaged title incase I lost ya somewhere in my rambling above) 2003 Honda VTX1300 (1312CC) RetroS I have replaced/repaired the following: Straightend out the forks by a professional(the front tire was touching the radiator) Replaced the right side floor board, Back brake lever and pads, hand brake lever, placed new kuryakyn ISO grips with throttle boss attachment, New front tire, brake pads, New fender and custom paint job (the paint job was $1000 just by its self) She has Vance & Hines exhaust pipes (which sounds pretty flippin sweet on this bike) There are maybe 2 things I haven't done which personally I would do and that is, the pipes are scratched which is why I'm guessing the insurance co totalled the bike..... Just a guess... And the front fork covers have a crease on them but other than that, she is perfect. She fired right up after sitting for a year and never missed a beat. I rode this bike to Illinois from gulf shores and back and didn't hurt when I got off of it. I stand 6'1" and I have plenty of leg room.I am only keeping this post up until August 1st and then if I haven't found something I like to trade with I will delete the post and repost after it is inspected with the state. So the price will go up a pretty big chunk. I have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this bike.... Between the busted knuckles, hot summer nights and my wife cryin for me to come to bed...... I'm am hoping that someone who knows what I've got is really worth it.....and they have a boat to trade.... Heck, they're getting a hell of a deal. If you live in Alabama I have the number to who is in charge of the title process for the state, and really it only cost $200 to finish the job. So let's see where this takes me. The worst I can say is thanks but no thanks.
