I have for sale a 2005 Piaggio X9 Evolution 500 Maxi Touring Scooter. At only 3,250 miles this X9 Evolution 500 is in pristine condition and is priced to sell.The Piaggio X9 Touring MaxiScooter, rivals most Sport Bikes on the market, but has the ease of an automatic. This Piaggio X9, is Italian Engineering at it's best, built by the company that has been making Vespa's for over 50 years. Piaggio, the parent company of Vespa, is at the forefront of motorcycle and Scooter technology, which is reflected in every line of the X9 Evolution. Agile and easy to handle, it is wicked fast while managing to stay compact versus all the other maxi scooters on the market.The X9 is terrific for commuting on the freeway or long tours. At 500cc, the X9 is a smaller, more agile rival of the Suzuki Burgman 650 which sells for $9,899. The top speed of the X9 is 100 mph. It is fuel injected and liquid cooled. It gets terrific mileage (45-50 mpg) and comes with a 4 gallon tank. It has factory installed Brembo brakes, Michelin Gold Standard Tires with 14 inch rims on Aluminum Alloy wheels. It has a Digital Instrument Panel with an On-Board computer. It comes with Built-in under seat storage and comes with an adjustable windscreen - this has a small blemish on it. The windscreen is 14 inches in height. The Upper Windscreen retails for $450.The X9 Evolution was built with a single cylinder, 4 stroke 4 valve Piaggio MASTER engine. Factory hp is 39 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. I have installed a top of the line Giannelli High Performance exhaust to give the X9 an edge in overall hp and torque. The Giannelli Exhaust is an Aluminum Alloy Oval End Can and retails for over $800.The X9 has been garaged since it was purchased. As picture in the ad the bike is $450.00. I am including a Factory Coded Spare Key ($100 value) - not pictured. I also have the Owners Manual and Record of Service. The X9 has a new battery and a fresh oil change and was inspected by a local dealer.Something to keep in mind is that this is a single owner vehicle - I purchased it directly from the Dealer. With that in mind, the X9 is priced along the lines of a high performance Sports Bike, because that's what the features and ride most closely resemble. This is not at all like a 49cc scooter, so please consider this when evaluating the vehicle and the price I am asking.
